John Lovelette & Mark Deso arrived at 8:45pm
Others: Andre Boudreau, John Holzscheiter, Tim Hurlbut, & Mike Smith
John Cioffi called the meeting to order at 8:01pm.
1. Review minutes from November 9th meeting:
Bob Berno made a motion to accept the November 9th minutes. Mike Ladd seconded. Motion passed, unanimously.
John Cioffi reminded Candy Granger to email him the previous meetings’ minutes so he could post them on the website.
2. Tournament Thank Yous:
A. Heather Lamothe & Bob Berno for all their hard work on another great
Thanksgiving Day Tournament
- John Lovelette, Mark Deso, & Dan Ellis for all their dedication to another
wonderful Girls Winter Classic Tournament
3. Collins Perley Complex Rink Boards:
A. Hardack – Community based rink: Tim Smith, Tim Hurlbut, John Holzscheiter,
& Andre Boudreau presented their idea of having a full sheet of ice up at the Hardack location. They would like to get the old boards from here at Collins Perley when they replace them in March of 2009. The construction would be over a few various phases. They would ultimately like to have a rink similar to Chazy, NY. They have a diagram designed and would like SASA to join in with them to make a proposal to submit to the complex to get the boards & the zamboni completely free.
B. Bob Berno made a motion to join with Hardack to bring a proposal to Dave
Kimmel to request the current complex boards & zamboni moved to Hardack. Mark Deso seconded. Motion passed, unanimously.
4. Pro Shop:
A. Request to increase sharpening rate to $5/pair & $40/skate card. The SASA board decided to keep our rates as is at $4/skaters’ pair, $5/goalie pair, & $30 for a 12 punch skate card.
5. Next meeting – January 11th, 2009 @ 6pm
Bob Berno adjourned the meeting at 9:30pm.
