All fees must be up to date prior to tryouts. Any members who are not in good standing this season or in any past season with SASA will have their accounts disabled. Your registration will be activated after you have either paid your account in full or made appropriate arrangements with the SASA President to satisfy your financial obligation. Scholarships

SASA prides itself in offering a high-quality program that is available to all players regardless of financial means. We take pride in offering a competitive program that is among the largest in the State of Vermont. Many former SASA players go on to play competitive hockey at the high school level and beyond. SASA feels it is important to make hockey available and affordable to all children no matter what their financial situation may be. To assist families, two scholarships are available:

John Ducham Scholarship -

SASA has a scholarship fund that is in honor of a former member, John Ducham. This fund is administered by SASA.  To start the process, please complete the John Ducham Memorial Hockey Fund Financial Aid Application under the Documents tab. Any questions can be addressed to Dan Ellis, the SASA President. Please be assured that any requests for financial assistance will be kept in strict confidence. Information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis.

Chancy B. Warner Endowment -

This application is available to Franklin County Youths under the age of 21 who would like to participate in recreational activities such as hockey and nearly any activity they are interested in. Applications for this scholarship is ongoing year-round.  The applications can be found on the Documents tab. This fund is not administered by SASA. Any questions should be directed to the fund’s address listed on the form.

We look forward to providing a positive experience for your family this season.  Feel free to contact any board member with any questions.

Other Fees - Aside from the fee for each level, SASA relies on volunteer hours to offset the costs of running the many programs for our children.

Volunteer Hours includes time in the snack bar and at our various tournaments. Each family is required to do 12 hours in the snack bar during the season, 6 hours of tournament time (run admission, raffle, t-shirt tables, help with clock, penalty box, Pro Shop, etc.) during our tournaments (Girls Classic, Connor Roberts, Mites, and Maple Season Face Off), and 2 hours of time during the state tournaments in February.

Buyout Option - If you prefer not to work the 12 hours of snack bar time, this option is for you! For $400 you can avoid the 12 hours of snack bar time.  The 6 hours of tournament time and 2 hours of state tournament time are still required
.

Before registering, please click here to go to the USA Hockey website to register your player with USA Hockey. You will need the USA Hockey number given to you to complete your registration with SASA.
